PRESS RELEASE
China Coal & Mining Expo to celebrate its 20th Anniversary in 2007

Beijing, November 16, 2006 - Together Expo Ltd announced today that China Coal & Mining Expo 2007 will be held from November 6 - 9 at Beijing's National Agricultural Exhibition Hall, marking the 20th anniversary of the industry's calendar event of China in Beijing.

The exhibition, historically supported by more than four hundred companies from Australia, Austria, Czech Republic, Finland,Germany, France, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Ukraine, the UK and the US, is truly a platform for Chinese professionals exchanging the latest ideas and know-how with the world.

Government officials and industry leaders will have an opportunity to meet their Chinese counterparts at the show together with the country's leading technical experts, representatives from mining associations, equipment manufacturers and coal producers.

"The 2007 event will be an interesting opportunity to see what two hundred Chinese companies have to showcase. We understand that the last few years represent a tremendous catch-up period for the Chinese industry," said Carmen Yeung, managing director of Together Expo Ltd, which has organized China Coal & Mining Expo along with CCCI since 1992.

"China has successfully promoted greater self-reliance and innovation and has made incredible gains in technological development in geological survey work, mining, disaster prevention and coal chemical engineering," Yeung observed.

China will continue to be a global industry leader because coal represents two-thirds of China's primary energy source in production and consumption, Yeung said, adding that the consolidated and restructured coal sector has made China's now profitable sector even more attractive to foreign investors.

"In addition to the massive import of advanced equipment, China's coal sector attracted foreign investment of 5.7 billion yuan between 1998 and 2002, and given current trends, this number will only go up. This means that China is ready to buy-and use-the best," she said.

The best includes equipment that helps to enhance the country's environment and safety. China's environmental initiatives continue to improve its coal selection operations with cleansing capacity, the building of power stations and the use of low-grade material such as coal waste. "We look forward to seeing more environmental and safety designs and technologies in products at China Coal & Mining 2007," said Yeung.
